Club Vs Rentals

If you are planning on boating just once or twice this season, boat rentals are the way to go.  If you want to make boating a bigger part of your summer, then you need to join our boat club!  

Benefits of Boat Club
- Prime time slots (weekends, holidays) are held for members and only open to renters if they are still available a few days prior to the rental date
- Access to our BEST BOATS - as a member, you have access to our best boats like double-decker waterslide boats and fancy bowriders
- DEEP DISCOUNTS: Members get up to 50% off each ride.  Our model costs less than boat ownership and traditional boat clubs
- Expedited Service: As a member we will get you out on the water quick, and when you are done, we will park the boat for you and you can just walk away
- Access to Echo Bay Facilities: As a member you can use our docks, decks, grills, etc any time you want!  It is your lakefront home away from home

Rental Conditions:

• Renters must be at least 28, Members must be at least 25
• NO smoking, grills, hookas, etc. allowed
• If you do not have proof of a boating license, you will be charged an additional $30.00 per rental
• A signed rental agreement is necessary before launch
• Each boat is inspected prior to departure from our docks and upon return. If any damage occurs the renter can incur charges up to $5,000.00 for repairs
• If you return past the contracted time of your rental, you will be charged $5.00 per minute late. Our boats are rented out multiple times during the day, therefore, late fees are strictly followed to ensure the next rental goes out on time! 
• Renters bringing dogs on the boats may incur an additional cleaning fee of $50.00
• Each rental boat will carry the necessary Coast Guard safety equipment
• Renters under 35, and or large groups of 8 or more may be required to provide a credit hold of up to $1500
• Must have all requirements for taking any water sport accessories. If you do not have all requirements we can not permit you to rent the accessories as it's against the law to do so

Weather Policy:

Everyone's idea of a perfect boating day varies, but 80 degrees and sunny doesn't always happen. If it's 65-70 degrees and grey skies, our rental boats still go out. If weather conditions such as moderate rain (lasting more then 45 minutes), lightning, or high winds are present here at Echo Bay Marina during the time of rental, we will gladly reschedule or cancel for you. If you are already out on the lake boating and weather becomes unsafe, we will pro-rate your rental upon your return. Weather related cancellations are made solely at MWR Rental & Sales's discretion and are only made the day of the rental.

Please note that "a chance of showers tomorrow" does not qualify for next day cancellations. Weather related cancellations must be done in person or on the phone. No-shows will be charged for the full reservation.

 

Rescheduling/Cancellations:

Cancellations and Reservation changes can ONLY be made online using your log in information.

Cancellation policies vary per membership type.  For renters:

Single Day Rental 
- Cancel at least 72 hours prior and receive a full refund
- Cancel between 72 and 4 hours prior and forfiet your deposit
- Cancel less than 4 hours prior or miss your reservation - Pay full rental base price (rental base price + tax  minus deposit already paid) 

Multi-Day Rentals
- Cancel at least 7 days or 168 hours in advance and recieve a full refund
- Cancel betweeen 168 hours and 48 hours and forfiet your deposit
- Cancel less than 48 hours prior or miss your reservation - Pay full rental base price (rental base price + tax  minus deposit already paid) 

NOTE: Renters get 3 cancellations per year at the above rules, after which all reservations must be cancelled at least 7 days prior to recieve a refund.

Late Fees:

If you return past the contracted time of your rental, you will be charged $5.00 per minute late. Our boats are rented out multiple times during the day, therefore, late fees are strictly followed to ensure the next rental goes out on time! DON'T BE LATE!

 

Water Sports Accessories:

Water sport accessories are available for rent. All accessories come with tow rope. The choices of accessories are:

Tube - $30
Kneeboard - $30
Children Ski's - $30
Adult Ski's - $30

Already have your own accessories you want to bring from home? That's fine! Just note that we still charge $30 per item as a liability fee.
 

A renter must have proof of all required documents for using any water sport accessories. If you do not meet all requirements, we can not permit you to use the accessories as it's against the law to do so. Please visit our Boating Requirements for list of required documents.
 

Fishing License:

Lake Rules:

• You must have three people for water sports: driver, skier, and spotter
• Anyone under the age of 13, must wear a life vest AT ALL TIMES
• A fishing license is necessary to fish on the lake
• The speed limit is 45 mph during the day and 25 mph at night
• Must have all requirements for taking any water sport accessories. If you do not have all requirements, we can not permit you to rent the accessories as it's against the law to do so
